Two-time Grammy winner, star of contemporary jazz and soul, Gregory Porter, will fill Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture with his deep, velvety voice - on 21.01.2026.
The jazz and soul legend includes Bulgaria in his new tour in 2026. We will hear some of the artist's most iconic hits from the albums Liquid Spirit, Take Me To The Alley, Nat King Cole & Me and Still Rising.
Gregory Porter is the most successful male jazz vocalist in the world and one of the best-selling recording artists. He has been awarded three platinum and nine gold albums. He is the winner of two Grammy Awards in 2014 and 2016 for best vocal jazz album. He has nearly 340,000 followers on Spotify and over 193 million views on video platforms. "My voice is a gift from God and I want to share it with people," he says.

Born in Sacramento, California, he grew up with eight siblings, with Nat King Cole albums in the home record collection, and sang in the church choir. His inspirations are artists such as Joe Williams, Donnie Hathaway, who reflect on his style, which easily flows between jazz, soul, rhythm and blues and gospel, and with his latest albums he is undisputedly recognized as the artist who brings modern jazz to the masses. He won a football scholarship that took him to the University of San Diego, but a serious injury deprived him of a sports career and gave the world one of the best jazz musicians.
When he went to New York, he worked in a restaurant during the day and sang in jazz clubs at night. Later he participated in the Broadway musical “It Ain't Nothin' But The Blues”, and in 2004 staged his own musical Nat King Cole & Me, dedicated to his inspiration, where he played his alter ego. His first two solo albums, Water from 2010 and Be Good from 2012, received Grammy nominations for album and best R&B song, to reach today's recognition of the most successful male jazz vocalist in the world. Liquid Spirit and Take Me To The Alley followed, some of which are the musician's most famous pieces - the title track "Liquid Spirit" (which also became popular in many club remix versions), the incredible "Hey Laura", the musical "Musical Genocide", and the lyrical "Consequence of Love". In Nat King Cole & Me, Gregory Porter testified to his "sincere and heartfelt tribute to his musical father" - Nat King Cole, the artist with perhaps the greatest impact on his career. With All Rise, Gregory returns to his characteristic crossover, with a flavor of vintage soul, jazz and pop.
Gregory Porter performs concerts in the most prestigious halls in the world - Royal Albert Hall, Olympia and many others, and collaborates with musicians such as Stevie Wonder, Moby, Disclosure, Sam Smith and Jeff Goldblum, and his concerts are always sold out.
Gregory Porter's concert in Sofia is on 21.01.2026. in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture.
Tickets are on sale in the Eventim system from 06.06.2025.
